Business Development Summits

Periodically, the CSS client family gathers in a professional conference atmosphere to focus on specific Business Development opportunities. Each Business Development Summit hones in on selected industries, and features guest speakers from those fields. Participants contribute case studies prior to attending the workshop and selected case studies are presented to the group. Participants then have the opportunity to discuss the case studies presented and exchange ideas.

Because each Summit is tailored to reflect the needs of specific industries, there is no formal syllabus.

Automotive Retail Marketing Think Tank

What: The Automotive Think Tank is designed to allow media salespeople to generate ideas that can be put to work immediately. We will have 6-8 Dealer Principals or GMs in the room, each representing a separate auto brand. We will create an atmosphere where the dealers feel free to put it all on the table. They will share their thoughts on what is happening in the business these days, what is most effective at generating leads right now, and what specific needs they have for 1st and 2nd quarter 2009. CSS and other special guests will share marketplace trends along the way. Throughout the Think Tank, we will divide up into small groups, and assign media people to focus on an individual dealer present in the room. Each group will brainstorm ideas the dealers can use to generate leads.

Who: Perfect for local sales managers and salespeople. Especially designed for those who are calling on auto dealers… and for those who want to develop better VBRs, be better prepared for their CNAs, and improve their ability to generate ideas that can move vehicles.

When: TBD

Where: TBD

Marketing Technology Summit for Managers

What:ÂHow to keep the legacy media—television, radio, newspaper, cable—relevant as technology tears up the media-and-marketing landscape. Web, RSS, mobile, SMS, advertising-on-demand. The disappearing difference between advertising and selling. How consumers are using the new technologies… how advertisers can engage them… and how the media can stay involved.

Who:ÂThis Summit is designed for corporate executives, general managers, publishers, sales directors, and sales managers.

When:  May, 2010

Where:  TBD
